Macquarie University AFC is launching its 2022 “Prep4Prems” Female Talent Development Program.
Prep4Prems is a Development Program intended to assist Junior Female Talent in their aspiration to develop and grow their Australian Football skills, preparing them for premier grade football and more. The program is open to all girls turning 16, 17 and 18 in 2022 that aspire to further their football, be it at Senior Women’s level or further.
The Program runs for the duration of our senior season, from early March, and will consist of 90-minute sessions aimed at giving participants hands on time, advice and direction from coaching staff and an environment of fun and enjoyment as they participate in skills and drills, growing confidence and achieving personal goals. With access to support from Kicking Dynamics during the season the participants are given one on one development coaching, helping iron out aspects of their skills that may need attention.
The program also gives participants opportunity to experience Senior football, should that be of interest and assessments on suitability to play senior’s will be offered for those that are interested.
There are limited spaces for each age group: interested athletes are encouraged to register, attend and experience a training session prior to official start, at the Macquarie University Playing Grounds.
There will be a fee for participation to cover costs of the Uniform, ground hire, coaches and Kicking Dynamics sessions.
Our Senior Women’s program is led by Katherine Smith and Jodie Hicks, both AFLW players past and present and their coaching and playing knowledge is second to none in the Sydney Senior Women’s AFL landscape.
